Revival of Jewish life in Displaced Persons camps after liberation.

Following liberation, Holocaust survivors faced the daunting challenge of rebuilding shattered lives. This session explores the revival of Jewish life in Displaced Persons camps—from the reestablishment of schools and yeshivot to the cultural and religious resilience that allowed Judaism to flourish in postwar Europe. Educators will gain tools to teach this era as a story not only of survival, but of spiritual resistance and renewal.
This session is part of the Educators Series 2026.
